Myztique Two many possums

WALT: Find and use relevant parts of the text to accurately answer questions.
I've learnt that possums are a problem in New Zealand because possums harm trees and plants. The trees and plants stop growing and die. There are fewer berries and flowers for the birds to eat.The birds have fewer places to build their nests. Also possums can get disease that they can pass on to cattles and deer. The farm animals can die. people use poison traps to try to catch and kill the possums and protect the forest and farmland.
